Gerald A. White, retired in 1995 as senior vice president-finance and chief financial officer of Air Products and Chemicals, Inc. He joined the company in 1962 and held various positions in engineering, management information, business unit management, strategic planning, and finance.
A graduate of Villanova University, White received a B.S. in chemical engineering in 1957 and is a member of Tau Beta Pi engineering honor society. He completed the Harvard Business School Advanced Management Program in 1975. Prior to joining Air Products, he served on active duty for five years as a U.S. Naval aviator.
White is a member of the Financial Executives Institute and the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. Active in public and community affairs, he is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of DeSales University, a trustee of the Allentown Art Museum, and past president of the United Way of Lehigh County. He also serves on the Board of Directors of LORD Corporation.
For outstanding business and community leadership, White received the Morehouse Award from Villanova University in 1983. |
