David L. Lewis is Vice President, Strategic Planning and Services. In 1988 Dave joined LORD as Director of Corporate Research at the Thomas LORD Research Center in Cary, North Carolina. In 1991, he was named Vice President, Corporate Research. Dave was appointed Vice President and General Manager of the Chemical Products Division in 1993.
Prior to joining LORD, Dave was President of Amspec Chemical from 1985-1988, a specialty and fine chemicals manufacturer. Prior positions held at Amspec Chemical included Vice President of Operations and Director of Technology.
From 1980-1983, Dave also held the position of Technical Director, Industrial Chemicals for Harshaw Chemical, a subsidiary of Gulf Oil where his responsibilities included Division Research & Development, Technical Service and pilot plant operations. Dave was also employed by Diamond Shamrock from 1974-1980 in both the Electromechanicals Division and Corporate Research & Development.
Dave received his B.S. in Chemistry from RPI in 1970 and his Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 1973. In 1974, he spent one year as Post Doctoral Fellow with S. J. Lippard at Columbia University. |
