MetalJacket 5001 Coating

LORD MetalJacket® 5001 primer/topcoat, the second coat in the MetalJacket process, is an environmentally friendly primer/topcoat. MetalJacket coatings, originally developed as corrosion resistant primers for adhesive applications, may also be used as primers for other coating systems and even as a stand-alone finish. MetalJacket coatings provide excellent corrosion resistance and functional protection for ferrous substrates.

Applied via an automated autodepositing dip process, MetalJacket 5001 primer/topcoat is applied over substrates prepared with MetalJacket metal treatment. Its unique and patented chemistry consists primarily of water and LORD formulated polymers.
