Focalized mounting schemes for cabs refers to placing the isolation mounts at an angle, where the resultant elastic center of the cab coincides with the center cab center of gravity. This results in lower transmitted vibration and better motion control over non-focalized mount designs. Isolation and motion control is optimized by tuning the lateral axial spring rates of the mount. Often, this is accomplished using spacers, or shims, molded into the rubber.
