Active Vibration Control (AVC) Systems
LORD AVC systems are being used to minimize vibration and reduce weight in helicopters. On many helicopters, vibration control treatment is required for safe operation. LORD AVC provides this feature with improved performance and lower weight when compared to passive treatments.
Current Applications:
Semi-active control also eliminates the compromise between excellent isolation and control of shock. Semi-active systems using magneto-rheological (MR) technology have been successfully commercialized in primary automotive suspensions and secondary seat suspensions.
