The incumbent reports to the Manager, Global Information Security and Enterprise Architecture and is responsible for the access control for information protection and governance and the implementation of appropriate procedures, products, and controls. This position works closely with information technology and business partners (internal and external) to ensure flexible & appropriate protections, governance, and controls are in place and effective, as well as promoting good security practices through strong verbal & written communication.
The incumbent handles transactions related to account maintenance and access control. Using the established computer systems, the incumbent will establish new accounts; receive and process electronic access requests for a variety of applications and systems ensuring compliance with LORD Corporation's established policies and standards in the Windows environment; evaluate requests, implement access, and serve as a liaison to other work units to grant or remove electronic access for LORD staff. The incumbent assists staff in identifying and/or trouble shooting IT system problems access issues. Functions in accordance with existing procedures and practices in identifying and setting up security access for new user profiles. This individual must be generally knowledgeable about information assets must ensure that controls appropriate to their level of documented sensitivity are in place.
Helping to maintain current documentation as to the state of the corporation’s account management procedures is also a vital component of this position.
Pursuing an associate or a BS/BA degree in computer science, information security, or computer engineering or technical school equivalent. Incumbent should have completed two years of study within the computer science, computer engineering, or information security field. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Effective interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with support personnel at various organization levels.
Desired: Windows server account and group administration, an understanding of a computer folder and share permissions. Exposure to business or engineering applications.
