Q: What is the process for submitting my idea?
A: If you see a need you would like to respond to, select it and you will be taken to the Registration page. Once on the Registration page, you will need to agree to our Terms and Conditions before moving forward or submitting any ideas. Following registration, you will be able to describe your idea and attach any drawings, photos or other documents that will help clarify your idea. After describing your idea in full detail please submit.
Q: What happens to my idea after I submit it?
A: We will review your submission and contact you if we see a potential fit. If there is a fit, we may discuss having confidentiality or other agreements to allow you to safely disclose any additional information. Until then, please do not provide any confidential information.
Q: Why would you reject my idea?
A: While we review each idea individually, we may not be able to share specific reasons for our decision. In general, however, we will be evaluating your idea against the criteria of its uniqueness and its fit with our needs.
Q: How long does it take to review my idea?
A: We will respond to your idea within a few weeks.
Q: Will the information I submit be returned to me?
A: No, anything you submit to us will not be returned.
Q: Does my idea have to be patented to submit it to you?
A: In order to protect both your rights and ours, it is required for you to review and agree to our Terms and Conditions before submitting your idea. If you have questions about your intellectual property rights, you should consult a patent attorney or other qualified advisor.
Q: How do I get compensated for my idea?
A: Compensation will be determined by discussions between LORD and the party that controls the rights to the intellectual property.
