When a global material handling machinery manufacturer realized one of their suppliers was not production-capable, LORD offered a solution. Just nine months after first contact, we were able to provide prototype units, and production was up and running within 14 months. The resulting Tactile Feedback Device (TFD) uses our patented magneto-reheological (MR) technology to lend steer-by-wire systems the subjective feel needed for instinctive driving. By delivering not only the development but the production expertise, the manufacturer was able to launch on time and meet the needs of their customers.
