Tesa Oechsle Named 2011 CFO of the Year

Tesa Oechsle, chief financial officer (CFO) and treasurer, was recently selected by Triangle Business Journal as 2011 CFO of the Year. One of 22 finalists, she was named the top-performing CFO for a giant private company.
The annual CFO of the Year Awards recognize outstanding financial professionals for their fiscal stewardship and their community service record throughout the previous 12 months.
"To be selected as a CFO of the Year is a tremendous honor," said Oechsle. "I'm proud to represent LORD Corporation and contribute to the growth and success of our company."
Since joining the LORD Corporation family in 1998, Oechsle has played a key role in its financial activities. She has held a variety of leadership positions, helping to effectively develop and direct its financial analysis, planning and growth.
"As CFO, Tesa Oechsle has contributed to the growth and success of LORD through her exemplary financial leadership," said Rick McNeel, Chairman, President and CEO, LORD Corporation. "Her CFO of the Year award is well-deserved and we are proud to see Tesa’s accomplishments and service recognized within our community."
In addition to her dedication to LORD, Oechsle is also involved in several civic organizations. She serves as either a board or committee member for the N.C. Chamber of Commerce, the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce, Triangle Family Services and the LORD Corporation United Way drive.
Oechsle’s award was presented during a gala luncheon for the finalists on July 14 at the Raleigh Marriott City Center. In addition, she was featured in the July 15th edition of the Triangle Business Journal.
