Aid for Education
LORD provides financial assistance to eligible full-time employees who continue education in courses related to our business. Reimbursement is provided upon successful completion of the course(s), for 75% of the tuition and required fees for up to two courses (6 credits maximum or 8 credits with courses requiring labs), in any one semester or term.
We offer multiple training opportunities in Leadership & Professional Development, Coaching, Engineering & Technical, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, Lean, Greenbelt, Communication and Presentation Skills, among others. Both classroom and online courses are available.
There are a variety of ways to learn through taking on new assignments, offering to lead projects, volunteering for community-related events, international roles - among others.

The LORD Career Roadmap is a tool for employees to leverage while considering a long-term career strategy. There are three main components to the Career Roadmap:

- Detailed information describing various functions and "days in the life" of various roles
- Sample information to create your own development plan
Develop your Plan
Once you have identified your career strategy, the next step is to put a plan in place to make your interests and aspirations known. Through a tool we call the Employee Development Action Plan, you can collaborate to create this strategy and specific action steps toward achieving your goals. This can then be shared with others for feedback and assistance along the way.
