Webinar: Vibrations 101

June 3, 2020

Vibrations 101

It’s tempting to think of vibration isolation as a simple matter of putting a vibration mount between an object and whatever it’s resting on. Anything must be better than no mount at all, right? Actually, it’s not always right. In some cases you can create problems by adding a vibration mount to a system.

Join us for an introduction to vibration, discussion on elastomer characteristics and considerations when selecting an isolator for managing aggressive vibratory environments.

Background on Vibration & Motion Control

For over 90 years, we have led the way in developing solutions to manage motion and minimize noise, vibration and shock. We'll partner with you to research and design a solution that meets your specific needs, either by developing a new application or capitalizing on our existing technologies. From aerospace vibration management systems to our well-known rubber-to-metal vibration isolators and flexible couplings, our goal is to improve the quality of your products.

What You'll Learn:

  • Understand primary considerations when selecting passive elastomeric mounts.

  • Review trade-offs when determining potential performance characteristics.

  • Discuss elastomer performance in dynamic conditions.

  • Considerations when designing mount attachment and placement.

  • Highlight Parker LORD capabilities and resources related to elastomeric mount design, and selection.
