Engineering
  • Participate in the product development cycle – aiding engineering teams with mechanical and electrical design; testing; analysis; and quality assurance
  • Assist product development teams with chemical formulation
  • Test formulations for chemical, mechanical, thermal, and electrical properties
  • Lead projects to improve safety, increase productivity, reduce waste, and reduce cost
  • Assist plant engineers in designing new chemical processes and selecting the correct process equipment
 Engineering
Business Development
  • Discover, incubate, and accelerate new technologies to the market. Identify the value proposition of a new technology and determine how to place it in the market
  • Use curiosity, integrity, and persistency to challenge business models and product results that will benefit the company
  • Create and implement new strategies and methods to expand the company’s corporate network
  • Contribute to market analyses, potential client identification, client follow-ups, and proposals
  • Provide research and contract support
 Business Development
Operations
  • Participate in team events such as Kaizens to develop innovative solutions to overcome real manufacturing issues
  • Operate, maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment associated with the manufacturing of various LORD products
  • Apply advanced working knowledge and experience to improve maintenance techniques, operational through-put, and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) concerns
  • Participate in forecasting and inventory planning from raw materials to finished product

Enrichment Opportunities
  • Get exposure to LORDs executive leadership
  • Participate in learning and social events with other interns across functions
  • Deliver an end-of-business summer presentation to showcase accomplishments with key business leaders
