Edward L. Auslander is president and CEO of LORD Corporation and a member of its Board of Directors. Founded in 1924, LORD Corporation is a privately-held company that serves the automotive, aerospace and defense, general industrial, and electronics markets. With global headquarters in Cary, North Carolina, LORD has a presence in 26 countries and is a leading global provider of adhesives, coatings, electronic chemicals, sensing systems, and mechanical and electromechanical systems that control noise, vibration, and motion.
Auslander began his career at LORD in 1984 under the student Co-op Program and has held numerous management and leadership positions across the Company before becoming president in 2013. Auslander served in managerial positions in the Aerospace, Industrial and Chemical Products groups, including overseas assignments in France and England. Auslander returned to the United States in 2007 and led teams across all global businesses.
Auslander holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from Pennsylvania State University. He graduated from the Chicago Booth Executive Institute in 2009. Auslander serves on the Executive Committee of the Aerospace Industries Association, is an advisor for Penn State Behrend Black School of Business, serves on the Board of Trustees of the Naval Aviation Museum Foundation, and is an active member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. He was named a Penn State University Alumni Fellow and received the Outstanding Engineering Alumni Award from the Penn State College of Engineering. Both awards are Penn State’s highest alumni honors.
